TRENDS IN T.E.N.S.
Service is the “HEART” of our business.

Relieving certain types of chronic pain such as neck or back pain can be made easier with TENS treatments along with practicing good posture. Relief using some imagery along with doing a few simple exercises may change things up for you. The Harvard Medical School has recommendations to help fix and maybe even improve your posture thereby relieving some pain.

Imagine a straight line from the floor to the ceiling that passes through your body, ensuring your shoulders, hips, knees and ankles are even and align vertically. Then pull your chest and rib cage upward, holding your hips level and keeping your lower back from swaying. Then think of stretching your head toward the ceiling, while elongating the space between your ribs and hips. Then release.

Continue with a shoulder blade squeeze. Slowly draw your shoulders back, squeezing your shoulder blades together. Then release. Continue with a chest stretch. Grasp your elbow and gently pull it across your chest so you feel a stretch in the upper arm and shoulder then repeat with the other arm. Then release and smile that you really did it. Of course, you can check with your doctor first. If done at regular intervals during the day, correct posture can really make a difference in how you feel and may even help to reduce your level of pain.
