TRENDS IN T.E.N.S.

Service is the “HEART” of our business.

To get the most our of your TENS unit, it’s important to start with good electrode handling techniques. This month we are going to focus on the proper use and storage of T.E.N.S. ELECTRODES.

Application:

1. Clean skin thoroughly prior to application of electrodes. Electrodes do not stick well if any lotions, oil, makeup, dirt, etc. is left on the skin.

2. Insert the pins of the lead wire from the device into the electrode connectors.

3. Remove the electrodes from the protective liner and apply to the skin.

Removal:

1.Lift the edge of electrodes and peel. Do not pull on the lead wires when removing electrodes from the release liner or the skin. You may damage the electrodes and or the lead wire.

2. Place the electrodes on the liner and disconnect the lead wire by twisting and pulling at the electrode wire connectors.

Care and Storage:

1.Between uses, store the electrodes in the resealable bag in a cool, dry place.

2.The life of the electrodes varies depending on skin condition, storage temperature and the amount of use, type of stimulation, and stimulation site. Electrodes life may be extended by carefully following the directions above.

Pre-Tac solution increases conductivity and extends electrode wearing time. It can reduce skin irritation and prevents electrode movement under conditions of perspiration and humidity. Use with POLYSTIM AND CONDUCTOR  adhesive electrodes. If you have any questions or would like to try some of our problem solving products, call us at 1-800-456-1971.
